San Juan offers plenty of tourist attractions. The capital of Puerto Rico offers accommodation, a wide variety of restaurants and night clubs as well as great beaches. Visit Old San Juan, the historical part of the city, which is famous for its narrow blue cobblestone streets and colonial buildings. Stop by La Fortaleza, a fortress dating back to the 16th century. On rainy days you can visit one of the many museums like Museo del Mar or Museo de Las Americas. On sunny days you can visit the beaches of Vieques Island just a few miles from the Puerto Rico coast and go for a night swim in the bioluminescent waters of Mosquito Bay. Because of the hurricanes summer is traditionally the off season for tourism in Puerto Rico, but at that time of year it’s much cheaper and less crowded.
